Her role is to provide consistent support for graduate students from admission to graduation. She helps students and faculty in her departments navigate processes like recruitment, enrollment, and the final/comprehensive exam, and she provides administrative services relating to student records and communications. Bethany comes from a background practicing law and enjoys advising students and faculty on policy matters. Bethany advises the departments of:

  • African & African American Studies
  • American Studies
  • History of Art
  • Indigenous Studies
  • Museum Studies

Bethany joined the COGA team in 2019. She was born and raised in the Kansas City area and has been a Jayhawk fan all her life. (Rock Chalk!) She has a B.A. in Political Science from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas, and she received her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Her favorite activities are playing team trivia, singing, and socializing.
